All those in the wrestling family lost a dear friend and supporter this week when Orval Borgialli died on February 27. A wonderful friend with many amazing stories to share, he finally lost his valiant struggle with cancer after a 3 year battle. Orval was a former Husker coach, going 73-105-6 from 1964 until 1978 while working with few if any scholarships. Later Orval was instrumental in the move of the Nebraska High School Tournament into the Devaney Sports Center. The last several years he was active in the Nebraska booster club and attended most home duals, Big 12 Championships home and away, and the NCAA National Tournament. Orval will truly be missed by all who knew and met him.
