HUSKERLAND WRESTLING INSURANCE
Huskerland is very happy to announce our insurance plan. We have been presented an outstanding option with
USA Wrestling that we
truly feel will hold the potential to be very beneficial to you.
In essence here’s how it works for you. A full USA membership is $30 per
wrestler. The Huskerland – USA Wrestling partnership gives you a card for only
$10 allowing you to wrestle in Nebraska events and be covered. If you want to
wrestle in USA sponsored events Nebraska or other states you can upgrade for the
additional $20. At the $10 rate you get the needed insurance but will not
receive their magazine. To many of you that is not an important point. Also, USA
will not be collecting the $1 per entrant fee at any Huskerland club tournaments
which was a stumbling block in the past, nor will they make an issue of coach’s
certifications. We think this is a win-win situation for both organizations and
gives you some incentive to wrestle in events sponsored by USA whether inside
Nebraska or in neighboring states.

Another situation you should like is that Huskerland Wrestling is not
forcing you to participate in this plan. It is available to you if you want or
need it. The USA plan will be required to enter Huskerland this year, but in
some cases you might find it to your benefit to pay the higher entry fee for a
smaller number of wrestlers than a card for the entire club roster. That is your
choice.
